This FREE all-ages event celebrates the best of Brisbane in springtime.

Alive in the Sunshine: a Mt Coot-tha Festivalis a celebration of Brisbane and the people who make it a wonderful place to live.

The event will be at the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens on September 5, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM(AEST).

Bring your friends and family and soak up some good vibes in the gardens.

With everything going on in the world, it’s easy to lose sight of the things that make life beautiful. In an era of smartphone dependence and unchecked AI growth, more and more people are missing meaningful connection to their community and to nature.

So that’s what Alive in the Sunshine is all about: friends, family, and good vibes in the gardens. There will be so much to do, from sampling market stalls and delicious food trucks, taking a guided tour of the gardens, listening to brilliant Brissie musicians on the lawn, or having a sundowner at the bar nestled in the forest.

There will be plenty to keep kids entertained too, with a dedicated kids’ area featuring a jumping castle, face painting, games, kids’ shows and more.
