Opening Night: Prologue by Dylan Bolger (FREE ENTRY)

A painting of the mill in Barcaldine, where Dylan Bolger’s great-grandfather, Harry McCabe, spent much of his time and is now laid to rest. Dylan stopped in to Barcaldine on his first on Country trip through regional Queensland, as part of the ‘Sovereign Bus Stations’ project.

This painting offers a small acknowledgement of his great-grandfather in the exhibition, which celebrates his matrilineal line. The exhibition, ‘Prologue:’ opens 9 May, 2026 at Wreckers Artspace, Woolloongabba QLD.
