Mt Coot-tha Songwriters Festival (Free Entry)

Enjoy a free-entry music concert at Mt Coot-tha Songwriters Festival. The event is set in the cool, lush Brisbane Botanic Gardens at the base of Mt Coot-tha and features hours of non-stop original entertainment from fine Queensland blues, roots, folk, alt. country, and acoustic songwriters.

The 2026 lineup features host act 8 Ball Aitken, one-man-band sensation Alex Kosenko, folk powerhouse duo Cosmic Honey, spell binding singer-songwriters JC & The Tree, online viral video guitar whiz Majelen, and songwriting/fingerpicking troubadour Rhyley McGrath. The musicians also get together for the all-star performer set to finish off the show.

Bring a picnic or enjoy the food truck offerings. Wear a hat, pack the sunscreen, and chill with the big Brisbane extended music family for a great day of original music in a natural setting.
