Man With A Movie Camera (2025)

_g.s & Storage ARI are very excited to invite you to attend the screening of ‘Man With A Movie Camera’ (2025) on Friday, 07/08/26, from 6pm (AWST) and 8pm (AEST).

Facilitated by Paul Sutherland and Cassandra Louttit, _g.s (WA) and Storage ARI (QLD) will be simultaneously presenting the Australian premiere of ‘Man With A Movie Camera’ (2025).

‘Man With A Movie Camera’ is a three channel cut-for-cut adaptation of Dziga Vertov’s 1929 film of the same name. Authored by a loose collective of 24 director-editors who met online, the 2025 film revisits Vertov’s project of a universal cinematic language via recent developments in digital aesthetics.

The Australian premiere will feature an introduction from editor Blake Robbins, and will conclude with a Q&A with editors Cassandra and Blake.

Paul Sutherland is a digital humanities researcher working at the intersection of epistemology and online culture.

Cassandra Louttit is an artist and musician.

Classically trained as a double bassist, her recent works include airbrush paintings, massively-multiplayer online film projects, an unauthorised exhibition hosted on an online real estate platform, audiovisual performances, and installations.
