(Land) Shanty Club with The Salty Sirens

Roll down to The End bar for another rollicking singalong, this time of land-based shanties, SHE shanties and sea-adjacent songs led by The Salty Sirens & one special guest musician TBA.

The Salty Sirens, Kristy “Capstanfield” and Elyse “Fishpatrick”, along with their trusty accordion sidekick Moni, have been rocking boats the country wide since 2021. These sapphic sailors will lead you on a musical journey through traditional and modern nautical folk song, tales of shipwork, daring adventure, defiance and debauchery on the high seas.

All voices are welcome! If you’ve never sung a shanty in your landlubbin’ life, not to worry! The Salty Sirens will welcome you aboard and show you the ropes. No previous seafaring experience necessary.

Participation mandatory, dressing up encouraged. Wear your finest land-pirate glad rags!

Doors at 6:30pm, singing from 7pm.

Tickets $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door. Snap ’em up post-haste. We’ll be full to the plimsoll in no time!

FAQ

•Is this a full band gig?

No. This will be a trio gig with the two Sirens and a guest musician (a different one every month). Special guest revealed on social media prior to the show!

•Can I buy a ticket on the door?

No guarantee. Only if we don’t sell out!

•Does The End sell food?

They don’t but you can bring in food from any of the nearby food vendors.

•I don’t like singing in public. Will I have a good time?

Oh aye! Shanty Club will have ye singin’ more gaily than ye thought ye knew how.

•Will you sign my chest?

Only if you ask nicely.

•Do you sing the same songs every time?

No. Each show is unique – a few core songs stay the same and the rest are different. Setlists vary depending on which guest we have joining us, the time of year, and how salty we’re feeling that day.
