Folk with Friends ft. Eden King and Georgie Neilsen

On March 8, Mirrorball Ministries is hosting a cozy, grassroots-style folk night featuring two

friends sharing songs in their own time, in their own way. The kind of evening where the stories

matter just as much as the songs.

EDEN KING

Eden King is a folk singer/songwriter based in Meanjin (Brisbane), Australia. Blending gentle

melodies with honest, melancholic lyrics, Eden’s music sits somewhere between quiet reflection

and open-hearted storytelling.

Eden will open the evening with brother, Benja (Double Bass) and longtime friend Mocara

(Violin). His music invites you inward, making space for stillness, memory, and those feelings

that sit just beneath the surface.

GEORGIE NEILSEN

At 25, Brisbane singer-songwriter Georgie Neilsen enters a new folk chapter. A seasoned

performer and writer, she has graced sold-out shows including Girl and Guitar, Women in

Voice ’19, and The Rise of Suzi Quatro. Inspired by generations of female storytellers, her latest

material sparks nostalgia and strength through vulnerability.

Georgie will follow with her own full set — rich with story, heart, and the quiet strength that

comes from lived experience. Her songs carry both warmth and grit, weaving nostalgia and

resilience into melodies that linger long after the last chord. She will be joined on stage by

Marcus Warren (Guitar), Neil Neilsen (Bass) and Evan Clarry (Lap steel).
