Brisbane Big Band with Special Guest Melissa Western

Don’t miss a very special guest joining the Brisbane Big Band in October! Since 1974 the band has been resident at the Brisbane Jazz Club, delighting big band jazz lovers and showcasing local musicians and feature vocalists. Under the superb direction of Brad Esbensenand with the voice and personality of host and comperes Alan Western and daughter Melissa Western, the Brisbane Big Band are ready to serve up sensational music for you.

Alan Western has a wealth of experience as an entertainer. His stylish vocals, bright personality and good humour appeal to audiences everywhere. He’s performed with The Brisbane Big Band since the late 1980s and has many a tale to tell.

Melissa Western jumped on the coat-tails of her father and crashed his Big Band gigs early in her career in the early 2000s. Now an established and in-demand singer/actor she tours nationally and internationally with music and theatre productions. Fresh from sensational performances in Edinburgh, Melissa loves jumping aboard the Brisbane Big Band train and can’t wait to join us in October.
