A zine about QPAC by @itsthomr, zine launch

When: 2pm Saturday 6 June

Where: KEPK, Unit J/241 Station Road

Yeerongpilly

Joh Bjielke-Petersen opened QPAC in April 1985 after overseeing the proposal, design and construction of the sprawling Queensland Cultural Centre. Why did Joh build QPAC? Who was it for then and who is it for now? Why is that silhouette so distinctively Brisbane?

This zine reflects on QPAC’s place on the riverbank and its contribution to the city’s cultural and architectural life.

Photobook and essay across 24 hand-bound pages.

Grab a copy and have a chat about brutalism this Queensland Day.
