Ring the cowbell… it’s a whole new chapter!

Megan Cooper’s music is folksy, vintage, alt country. She’s a hip-shaking, wicked whistler whose dodgy ankles led her around the mountain and back to the music of her river-village upbringing.

Last winter, she journeyed deep into the wilds of Tasmania to record a brand-new collection of songs. Now, it’s finally time for those tunes to get dressed up and meet some new people.

Cooper’s live shows are packed with energy, sweet harmonies and dry observation of the everyday, layered with earthiness and an unbridled enthusiasm for the art of storytelling. Born “a little bit theatrical,” her music is a deliciously elegant serving of aural sweetness, rooted in the traditions of Americana and Australian folk storytelling.

A country singer with three albums to her name and performances from Newcastle to Nashville, Cooper’s natural affinity for everything good in twang is rounded out by her band, The Polished Flaws.
