Storage ARI Reading Group: Pig City by Andrew Stafford (Free Entry)

Our next text is Pig City by Andrew Stafford – a certified Brisbane classic which should need little to no introduction. A book becoming depressingly relevant as we deal with our own pathetic echo of Joh (just as Trump pathetically echoes fascist strongmen past). But like also, truly great art has been (and is being and will be) made in Brisbane. More than this, there was a time when those goddamned Smellburnians and Sydneyslickers looked north for inspiration.

Some of them even moved up here, if you can imagine. What happened?

We’re gonna go with a solid support the author on this one if you can. If not, library copies (both physical and digital) are pretty abundant around town. We’ll meet at 6pm on Tuesday the 7th of July at The Menagerie in Kelvin Grove, please read the whole book before then.
