Winter Sanctuary Eat Sip Listen

Welcome to our first Winter Sanctuary Eat Sip & Listen presented by Long Listen Festival.
Join us for a cosy Saturday evening of live music, good food, conversation and connection at Roads, Peregian Beach, a retail café by day and wine bar by night on the Sunshine Coast.
Launching our new venue partnership with Roads, this special winter gathering brings together live chamber music, shared tables, and a relaxed wine bar atmosphere, while helping support the future of Long Listen Festival.
Across the evening, violinist Courtenay Cleary and cellist Louise King will perform a series of intimate live music sets woven throughout the event, sharing stories, inspiration and glimpses into the creative vision for the 2026 festival program.
Set in the cosy setting of Roads, Winter Sanctuary is designed as a slow listening experience. This is a chance to eat, sip and listen to beautiful live classical music, up close.

Our Concert Program
Our program features Vivaldi’s iconic Winter concerto reimagined for violin and cello duo, alongside music by leading Australian composers Elena Kats-Chernin, Stephen Chin, Betty Beath, Anne Cawrse, Ross Edwards and Katherine Rawlings. Woven throughout our program are haunting renaissance tunes by Hildegard von Bingen, Nordic and Scandinavian folk melodies, alongside the fiery rhythms of Piazzolla and the dramatic virtuosity of Saint-Saëns ‘Danse Macabre’ to close.
