Shannen SP is a London-based artist, DJ, and creative hybrid. Described as “quietly prolific” by Crack Magazine, her music and electrifying DJ sets explore the vanguard of the global club underground, bridging Gqom, Kuduro, Afro and Latin Club, Bubbling, and more. She has performed at Berghain, Fabric, Primavera Sound, Venice Biennale, Dekmantel Selectors, Waterworks, Nyege Nyege, Glastonbury, and Draaimolen, with recent East Asia tour (Shenzhen, Shanghai, Seoul, and Hong Kong) and India tours (Mumbai, Delhi and Goa) .A key tastemaker in the U.K. underground, Shannen has worked a South African sample pack for Spitfire audio’s LABS, compilations for NTS Radio’s label including Amapiano Now and Cumbiaton Total, and was formerly an A&R and DJ for Hyperdub Records, co-curating their iconic Ø parties and featuring as a vocalist on Nazar’s Air Strike and Bunker, with support slots for Arca, Jamie XX and Actress. She recently launched her new digital arts and electronic music platform, CEL Studio, curating events at Berlin Art Week and Paris Basel

refuge is a platform for some of the finest organisers, noise makers and selectors in the community, and takes place on the unceded sovereign lands of the Turbal & Yuggera peoples. they were the first storytellers, dancers & musicians here, and their rich and ongoing connection to these lands and waters are sacred. to honour them, we must mark new heights of radical care, collectivism and disruption.
