Beneath The Veil - Nambour

As most of us are aware, the recent Global Samud Flotilla mission to bring aid to the besieged people of Gaza was met with severe brutality from the Israel government.

In a show of support for the brave efforts and injury received by our local flotilla participants, and to continue to bring focus to the fight for the liberation of the people of Palestinian, we will be gathering at the Black Box Theatre on the eve of the 28th June for a night of camaraderie, knowledge sharing, music, and connection.

We will be graced by the presence of Samud participants Sam Woripa Watson and Surya McEwen (skype), who will speak about their recent experiences as well as giving updates on their work with the Free Palestine movement.

We will also be graced by Elder, Aunty Beverly Hand who will speak to the shared struggle from Kabi Kabi country to Palestine.

The evening will feature a rich smorgasbord of short performances from an incredible lineup of musical talent, including Life on Earth, Hana Macklin, Jeunae Elita, Matty Witney (Dried Spider), Eira (Sweden) Mélissa Camdon Band, Keely, Christi Del, Vocal Kin, Gympie Men’s Singing Circle, Andrea Kirwin, Gwyn, and Mukunda and the Ember Stokers.

All Funds raised will go toward supporting local flotilla participants’ recovery costs and to local organising for a free Palestine.
