20th Century Boy is a post-punk band from Meanjin that are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. Their eclectic sound weds dissonant feedback and distortion with classic pop structures and sing-along melody, lyrically weaving in topics ranging from video games and film sets to digital apocalypse and burnout. They’re often silly, they’re often sincere – and they mean every word, even when they don’t. No two songs in the set sound alike – and yet they all sound like 20th Century Boy.

Margaret is an eight legged, whiney homosexual and tart; kicking ass and taking names on behalf of Meanjin’s indie underground. She can play four instruments simultaneously: two guitars, bass, and she reserves four of her left fingers for her synth system fashioned out of Nintendo Gameboys (this is true, come see for yourself).
