Event Details

I know this is real Murri time but better late than never cause I’m turning 50 and I’m inviting you all to come dance and celebrate the evening with me at The Cave Inn.

It’s not themed but if you feel like wearing 90’s then bring your fanciest gear & your deadly dance shoes.

I’ve also invited some special guests up including my son Dean Brady, the OG’s AIM4MORE featuring Ney Ney & the solid host with the most The Godfather of Blackfulla comedy, my countrymen Sean Choolburra will be styling up & smiling up as well as a stellar all star lineup consisting of Sisa Koroi, Mayella Koroi, Aaron West & Donnie will be playing live.

Lastly don’t worry bout buying any fancy presents, your presence is enough but if you feel like contributing $25 & upwards towards the band, DJ and other cost would be appreciated, also our Jarjums (kids) under 12 are free – meals (Pizzas) and drinks are also available on the night too.

Again hope to see you all there particularly my tribe & friends up north & interstate.

About Jungaji

Jungaji has undergone a deep cultural transformation, finding a profound understanding of his identity and is dedicated to sharing his Western songlines and artistic testimony with the world. A fluent Gugu Yalanji speaker, who originates from the old western country of southern Cape York, Jungaji maintains the ancient fires through his smooth modern deliveries of stories and songlines.

A proud Western Gugu Yalanji & Birrigubba man, Jungaji (pronounced Jun-gah-jee) is continuing ancient law by documenting the stories of his people through visual art, theatre, music, and storytelling, having learned these traditions from his elders, and particularly from his last ancient connection to a 104-year-old bushman with whom Jungaji had a life-changing spiritual initiation, and he is passionate about preserving these traditions for future generations. He has forged a reputation based on integrity and has been delving deep into the language and culture of his ancestral lands, talking to elders, and creating art both visually and aurally.

Jungaji is a prolific songwriter, visual artist, playwright, social justice advocate and truth teller whose work bridges ancient culture and contemporary expression. Jungaji channels ancestral memory ans stories into soul infused and R&B songs and striking visual artworks grounded in story, spirit, and survival.

Jungaji is the newest recipient of the QMA’s 2026 Indigenous Artist of The Year Awardand was the previous winner of the World Music Best Song at Queensland Music Awards 2025for his song, Gummy Bamarra. His debut album Betting On Blak (June 2025) debuted at No.1 on the AIR 100% Independent Albums Chart, making him the second First Nations artist to do so after Gurrumul. The album also charted across multiple ARIA categories, including No.2 on the Australian Hip Hop/R&B Chart and No.6 in Vinyl.  Not bad for a 32-year apprenticeship in the music industry and still remaining independent with a strong team around him.

Jungaji and his band performed in 2025 with Brisbane Festival, Topology – Third Space and Woodford Folk Festival, to name just a few of his many live performances. In 2026, he will be part of Clancestry at QPAC with his new show, The Three Fires, collaborating with Radical Son and Candice Lorrae.

Jungaji’s creative practice is a living archive where colourful paint tones, language, sacred geometry, and soulful vocals become vessels of deep cultural knowledge. Whether on canvas or stage, he invites audiences to feel, remember, and connect.

He is excited to share songs from his upcoming album, Tea Of Life, with special surprise guests and Dean Brady plus AIM4MORE.
