Rutherford Jazz Trio (RJT) is a defiant band, in many senses. The fierce 5-piece Meanjin funk lineup jollily deposits electrifying riffs and rhythms upon unsuspecting audiences, living beyond not only its nomenclature, but genre boundaries as well.
