Join us at Alstonville Public School for adelightful evening featuring a beautiful film, live music and delicious food on 21st February.

L’Attachement (The Ties That Bind Us) is set in contemporary France and showcases the heart-warming story of neighbours who live in the same apartment block. The main characters, a father, his two children and their single feminist neighbour, navigate a new way of living after a death. They help each other, learning about themselves and developing a close bond. Full of humour and affection, the film leads us to rethink what is family, and the powerful role of friendship in shaping one’s personal growth. This is a beautiful film that celebrates the value and complexity of caring and connecting.

6.30pm Gates open. Before the film, enjoy live music by local songbird Veronica Jean. Veronica reinvents songs from the past and breathes new life into them with her versatile voice and acoustic guitar.

A selection of delicious sweet and savoury food and hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase, courtesy of the Alstonville School parent group.

7.30pm – 9.45pm: Film (includes intermission)

Entry: As a Film Society, we can only provide screenings to our members. When you purchase a ticket you gain membership to the Duck Creek Film Society and entry to this film. Cost is $12.50 online pre-paid (inc. fees) or $14 at the door (EFTPOS or cash) until sold out.

Location: Alstonville Public (Primary) School hall.
